I’m just a small town girl, living in a lonely world…JUST KIDDING while the “small town girl” portion is accurate (Born and raised in Klamath Falls, Oregon) the “lonely world” part is most certainly a fallacy. I’ve traveled all over this beautiful world of ours by myself and from couch surfing to hostels I have never once felt lonely, if anything I felt more at home in each new place and acquired a surplus of friends who’ve turned into family in all succeeding destinations. Which brings me to the point of my blog: I’m here to share my travel stories with you, provide tips and tricks on how to travel on a budget, educate on safe solo travel, pass on my knowledge of certain destinations and the do’s and don’ts of tours, attractions, eateries and lodging. However, my main objective is to teach you how to become a traveler and not just a tourist, how to immerse yourself in the culture of any trip you choose to take whether it be a 2 day vacation or a 3 month journey. If you learn to travel in this manner I assure that you will return from your adventure richer than when you left. Your pockets may not be filled but your soul undoubtedly will be.
